Prince Cobbinah is a Lecturer at the Department of Forestry and Forest Resources Management. He has over 4 years of professional experience with the University. Mr. Cobbinah obtained a first degree in Natural Resources Management (Silviculture and Forest Management) and Master of Philosophy in Crop Protection (Plant Pathology) all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He further obtained a Diploma in education at the university of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Mr. Cobbinah teaches undergraduate and diploma courses in the areas of Plant Pathology, Forest Entomology, Basic Entomology, Principles of Forestry and Practical Entomology. He is a recipient of the South Coast Biosciences Doctoral Training Partnership (SoCoBio DTP) scholarship funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) of the United Kingdom (UK) where he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the university of Southampton, UK. His PhD research focuses on “Understanding the interplay of plant genetics and microbiome for improved disease resistance” with focus on apple canker (Neonectria ditissima) disease.
